Prayer
Our country is a religiously conservative country and its people are fairly content with the way things are. Pray that the Holy Spirit would stir up a desire for more than contentment – for closeness to God, freedom from sin and absolute assurance of salvation.
Pray for the children of workers in this region as they attend school, absorb Arabic and Arab culture, and have their spiritual sensitivities nurtured by their parents and team. Pray for physical and spiritual protection.
God speaks to us through his Word. Pray that the Scriptures will be given to every person in the AP who can read and that they will read them. Pray, with faith, for those things which seem impossible.
Pray for the local believers, that they will have at least one person who can encourage them and that they will stand firm in their faith.
Video
This week we would like for you to view and focus your prayers on the City of Dubai. Pray for them to know the Lord.
Prayer
Occult and folk Islam practice is widespread in certain regions. Pray for the spiritual darkness to be lifted and for the light of the truth and freedom in Christ to break through.
With the completion of Eid holidays, school will start for millions of children in the AP. Pray that the teachers will have compassion for the students, seeking to help them learn. Pray that the students, as well as the teachers, will hear about God’s love for them.
Many local families have had connections with Christians for decades. Some have had parents or grandparents who followed Christ, but the faith was not passed on. Pray that the years of sowing and witnessing will again bear fruit within these families.
Testimony
The city of Nizwa is an area in Oman that needs our prayers. Please watch this video and pray for the people in this area.
Prayer
Pray for those who are experiencing post traumatic stress from the hardship they have faced in their country for the past year and a half. Ask that they will call out to God and that He will speak to them. Pray that they will meet Believers who can comfort them in their suffering, sharing with them how much God loves them.
Many countries in the AP have a growing young population who are the majority. Pray that Christian websites would be relevant to this large group and that workers would find ways to reach them too. Pray that younger workers, who can relate to this generation, would come to serve in the AP.
Pray that a network of local believers would form for fellowship and spiritual strengthening. Lift up those who live in fear of discovery and pray that they would have courage to meet with others.
A Christian website has been blocked in this country. Pray that someone in authority would make the decision to unblock it and pray for other websites providing God's Truth to be found by local enquirers.

Like most of the world, many people are moving to the urban centers. This is true for the Urban Emiratis. Please pray for them this week.
Praise
Praise the Lord for his protection over a believing family who recently experienced an accident but no one was hurt. Ask that this event will be a witness to the community of God’s protection and care.
Prayer
It is often typical for Arab believers to hold grudges when offended by their brothers and sisters in Christ. Pray especially for those from a Muslim background that they will be impacted by grace and see the higher way of humbling themselves, asking forgiveness, and giving it readily.
Pray for those who believe they can earn their salvation through fasting at Ramadan. Pray that they will hear the Good News of salvation through Christ and believe.
Pray that the strongholds of Islam will be demolished. Pray for Muslims to be open to the Gospel, for the lies of this false religion to be exposed, and that the Lord will set free all who have been deceived and misled.

This week we would like for you to view and focus your prayers on the Saudi Arabs. Pray for them to know the Lord.
Prayer
Ramadan, for the locals here, seems not only a time of seeking and a time of following rules, but also a time of rushing, driving erratically, and getting angry in the traffic with each other. Pray that the Holy Spirit would convict people of sin, and righteousness and judgment, and make them very thirsty. Pray this would be a time of revelation, of dreams and visions of the Messiah. Pray also for opportunities for believers to have Kingdom conversations with locals during this season.
During this time of spiritual tension, pray for local and expat believers, for protection against discouragement, spiritual oppression, and temptation. Pray for local native believers to be strong in their faith, to trust in the Lord, and to be vigilant in prayer. May they know how to pray for those around them.
Pray for Mohammed, who seems a very level-headed Muslim background believer. However, he comes around for fellowship, then “disappears” again for long periods. A couple of months ago, he expressed the desire to bring together a couple of Muslim inquisitive friends along with another Muslim background believer, to study the dependability of the Bible. Pray that he will again “show his face”, and follow through on the desire to bring his friends to the truth.
Please pray the Lord will give Muslims dreams and visions - especially on the Night of Power during Ramadan, as they seek God and his answers to their prayers.

The following video link is the overview video for Praying Through The Arabian Peninsula. Please pray with us that more people would desire to join this movement and pray for Him to be known in the AP. Do you know people you could challenge to partner with us in this movement?
Praise
Thank God for rain that brings life to the parched earth. As the summer rains come to an area of the AP that sees the most rainfall on the peninsula, pray that the truth of the Gospel will “rain” on the people as well. Pray that all will hear and believe.
Prayer
Ramadan has begun and people are more religious than usual. As they read and quote the Quran, pray that they will read the portions about Jesus and desire to know more about Him. Pray that they will hear the Good News that He offers.
Pray for two brothers, “Mohammed” and “Rashid” who became believers after watching Christ’s transformation of their father. It seems they reacted when some well-intentioned believers spoke about coming to church in front of their Muslim family. They now stand apart, even though report has it that they talk of Biblical truth to one another. Pray that they would find a place of fellowship and trust with fellow believers.
Pray for local believers desiring to be married to other believers - provision of a Godly spouse, favor from both families, etc.
Pray for a college administrator in the Gulf, “Nadia”, a Muslim, who was intrigued by the life of her Christian colleague, and asked, “What actually is your church . . . your beliefs?” In learning that believing in Christ affects your whole lifestyle, she wanted to talk about it more in the future.
Video
Praise the Lord for this video testimony of a Saudi man that shows there is an alternative choice to Islam. This is the first in a series AWM is producing in partnership with Middle East Media. Take a look at the English subtitled version. Pray that many Arabs will view the Arabic version online and choose to believe in Jesus.
Praise
Praise God for the literature distributed last month. A young local man saw a Bible in a colleagues' house last week and expressed an earnest desire to have one. Pray that God will speak to the hearts of the readers. Pray that these materials will not get into the wrong hands.
Prayer
Ramadan begins sometime this week. Please pray for the Lord to reveal Himself to Muslims all over the world during this fasting time.
Pray for “Abu Hussein”, an elderly believer who is somewhat isolated. The fellowship he wants to attend is in English because he fears exposure in his Muslim context by being among those believers whose native language is Arabic. He confines himself to satellite Christian TV. Pray for his courage and willingness to seek out fellowship that ministers to him, and in which he can minister.
Pray for families who are struggling with a poor economy, electrical outages and other hardships. Ask that needs will be met and that they will hear about God’s love for them.
Pray for the youth of our lands; that during their long summer holiday they will browse the internet or zap on the satellite TV and come across Christian sites/programs and will be attracted to learn more.

Imam University is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and one of the places Saudis go to study. Please watch this video and pray for the Students in Saudi.
Praise
Praise God for the new work visas for expatriates that came through since we requested the Lord’s intervention through prayer. Please pray for others who still need visas to work in our country. God is slowly increasing the numbers of workers.
Prayer
Sometimes new believers show a desire for fellowship but lack a passion for the Word of God. Pray that they will realize that real fellowship focuses around God’s truth, and find the joy of digging into it.
Pray that God would specifically use the many short-term 'workers' who are currently engaging with young people over the months of June and July. Pray for wisdom as they serve in this country. Pray for their safety.
Continue to pray for the release of those who have been kidnapped in a country in the AP. Pray for their safety. Pray that they will be returned to their families.
Pray for local believers desiring to be married to other believers - ask for provision of a Godly spouse, favor from both families for the marriage, and the testimony of their faith to those who do not yet believe.
Testimony
While at the park with some friends, “Ahmed” talked to his friend “James” about his struggle with guilt. They talked about how Muslims and Christians deal with guilt and forgiveness. “Ahmed” turned to “James” and asked, ´Do you think God will forgive me?” “James” told him that Jesus’ sacrifice would completely forgive his sins. Later “Ahmed” said, “I have a NT but I do not understand it.” The two decided to study together. Ask the Father to bless their time in His Word.
Praise
Praise God for the new openness to hear the gospel. The needs and challenges facing many locals have been one way God has opened them up to the gospel. We are receiving more reports of people willing to listen to and discuss issues of faith with workers.
Prayer
Pray for the locals going abroad for the summer; that they will hear the gospel in that country or get a Bible and bring it back with them and read it.
Pray for “Nasser”. He's been having bad dreams for many months now. He is angry with the world and seeks help in Sufi teaching. Recently, he was more at rest and slept better. He wants to change his attitude in dealing with the difficulties in his life. Pray that he will seek Jesus as the answer for his need. He has heard about Jesus, but has not met Him yet.
I have been encouraged to meet the sister-in-law of one of my local friends who is very keen to meet up and visit in our home. She has 3 lovely children and they go to a local school where several of the teachers are passionate believers. Her husband is going to live in the US for a year to study. Please pray he will meet true Believers who can point him to Jesus, and that "Sana", in her loneliness (when her husband is away) can also meet Christ.
The Gulf is blessed and cursed by its government provided wealth. It seems all are “okay”, however some of our believers from a Muslim background are not particularly sound financially and need to learn good principles of finance. Pray for those who teach them to help them apply God’s word to their practical financial circumstances.
